The Steering Committee of the Texas Region Data Managers Network (TRDMN) hope this communication finds you well and hopeful in 2021.
After mindful discussion and assessment of the ongoing situation with the pandemic, it is with great regret that we inform you that we will not be hosting a physical or virtual TRDMN annual meeting in 2021. The Committee continued to work on a virtual agenda and meeting platform options throughout 2020. But as we shared feedback pertaining to our work environment and that of our data manager peers across the country, we realized that many of us were being utilized for needs in the healthcare setting surrounding the pandemic or furloughed from our data manager tasks at present. It didn’t seem wise to try and launch a virtual TRDMN conference without the bandwidth to prepare a robust program. We are sorry and disappointed, but will make every effort to make it up to our Network in 2022!
To that effort, we will continue to provide information and links on the TRDMN website for educational webinars and other regional group calls supporting the cardiac registries. We also would be thrilled to have your feedback on what you would like to experience at our next annual TRDMN meeting in 2022. Please take a few moments and complete a brief survey we’ve provided. It will go a long way to assist the Committee in preparing an incredible program in 2022.
In closing, the past year has been unprecedented in the challenges faced and sacrifices made. We’ve changed the way we work, live, and co-exist with one another. This year provides hope and light at the end of the tunnel. We hope you are safe, well, and finding a way to honor your well-being. We will get through this.
Thank you for your engagement and support of the TRDMN,
Texas Region Data Managers Network Steering Committee
